Christening Cake

Thought I would share a cake I made recently for a friend. His two children are getting Christened this weekend and he asked me to make a cake for them. Ethan is 6 and Phoebe is 1 and the theme of the big day is a ying yang theme. The cake matches their invitations.

I was meant to be taking it to him on Saturday but with the forecast of snow and the fact we live so far apart meant I had to rush this one through so it was ready in just one night - hence when I took these photos it was still a bit dusty with icing sugar. This was at 6am and the writing was still wet! LOL

The cool thing about this cake it that inside the blue section of cake is pink sponge and in the pink side of the cake there is blue sponge! He has promised me he will take photos when they cut it open. This was fun to make! :)

WOW! That's incredible. I've been scrolling back and forth working out how you got the girl on one side and the boy on the other without it showing! Chris's comment was "Sheesh!"

Be sure to post the photo of the inside - I'm very curious now. Haha!

Very cool! You did a great job!
I was doing the same as Rosey but I've come to the conclusion you either didn't have the boy doll on for the first pic or you're really good at getting just the right angle so he didn't show. LOL
