Scrapwhisper Challenge

I've just posted the latest scrap whisper challenge - this week it is a scraplifting challenge. CLICK HERE to go check it out, play along for yourself and be in with a chance of winning a prize!

I had fun lifting Rosey's layout. I did use a bit of creativity so it doesn't look exactly like Rosey's but it's certainly captured the essence I hope!

My final scraplifted layout!
Scraplifting is so great when you're stuck in a rut! Thanks for your lovely layout Rosey - it made me create this page!

Layout above is by Rosey and you have to scraplift it for the latest Scrapwhisper Challenge!

Sarahs Cards Bargain

Talking of bargains - Just after Christmas in the sales Sarahs Cards (UK website) was having a sale and were offering a box of surprise goodies worth £75 for just £25! Well of course I had to try it out and see for myself. I couldn't find any examples on the internet so I decided to post  here what I got in case anyone else was thinking of purchasing one.

There was American craft paper, maya road envelopes, brads and journalling cards, die cuts and acrylic notes
 stickers and felt
thickers, swirly bling and more stickers

 glittery card stock
 and plain cardstock
 My minds eye paper
Lush paper which has a cool velvety feel

and various other sheets of paper:

More embellishments, rubs ons and stickers

and a sheet of journalling stickers.
All in all I'm really happy with my purchase - I added it up and its definately over £75 worth of stuff according to what is for sale on other websites so I'm pretty happy! The only thing is I don't have many orange layouts in my album because orange is a difficult colour to scrap with! I feel a mini self challenge coming on!

Knitted Baby Pack

One of my mums friends is having a baby soon and he asked her if she could make a little baby set in red and blue (they all support Crystal Palace Football Club who play in red and blue). Well we've created between us this cute little baby set:

It consists of a blanket, bottoms, jacket, hat and gloves ....

I think you will agree this will be the cutest baby around! And certainly the best dressed baby at the next Crystal Palace game !

New Year Resolution

One of my new years resolutions this year is to only purchased things if they are on sale or I have a coupon. I cannot believe how much money I've saved already this year including on things like groceries. I've discovered that whilst we can't extreme coupon like you can in America, there are certainly a lot of bargains to be had in the UK, you just need to know where to look.

I was thrilled when I found these thickers on sale in a local shop for just £1 each reduced from £4.25!  Of course I took one of each - what a bargain ! I have enough of these lovely thickers now to last me months! I feel another no buy challenge coming on.

It's been such a long time since I created this layout (back in October) for the Scrapwhisper team challenge that I had forgotten about it! Well, here it is - my lovely Rhyee sitting in our conservatory chasing butterflies that fly past the window!

Do you want to see how people scraplifted this layout and made it their own, passed it onto someone else who did the same and so on? A scraplifting game of chinese whispers or telephone! CLICK HERE to find out!
